The Weasley's Burrow
Home to the Weasley family, the Burrow is a house just outside the village of Ottery St. Catchpole, and is built so crazily that it must certainly be held up by magic. It is likely to have once been a farmhouse (though it looks more like it might have been a "large stone pigpen"), on top of which several crooked stories look to have been added. Currently the house has six bedrooms and six stories, plus an attic, with a rickety uneven staircase climbing among the stories. Overall, despite the garden gnomes, the old boots and chickens littering the yard, and the ghoul in the attic, the house has a cozy, warm feeling, and Harry often thinks of it as his "second favorite building in the world" after Hogwarts

The Diagon Alley
Diagon Alley is accessible from Muggle London through the Leaky Cauldron, which is on Charing Cross Road. The Muggles who pass by the inn seem to be "quite unconscious" of its existence.

Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes
Fred and George Weasley worked for several years to develop a line of comic magic items which they hoped to sell through their company, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. They were putting together order forms during the summer of 1994 with the hope of selling the items at school, but their mother was thoroughly digusted with the whole thing and made them throw the forms away. They were able, however, to conduct market research, conduct further product development, and build up their customer base over the course of the school year, since their focus was on developing their new business rather than studying for N.E.W.T.s.

Potions are magical liquids created by mixing various ingredients in a cauldron according to very specific rules. These mixtures must usually be drunk to give their magical effect. The ingredients in potions range from the mundane to the bizarre and fantastic, and the procedures for creating some potions can be complicated and time-consuming. Severus Snape was the Potions Master at Hogwarts from c. 1980

Hogwarts. The Slug Club
The Slug Club is an informal name for Horace Slughorn's favourite students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Slughorn taught Potions at Hogwarts during two different stints; both times, he singled out students he thought had potential, either because they had influential relatives or themselves possessed fame or talent of some kind.

Gryffindor Common Room
The entrance is located behind a large painting of a Fat Lady in a pink silk dress. If you know the right password to tell her, she swings open to reveal a round opening in the wall. The common room contains a lot of squashy armchairs, a fireplace, and tables. The fireplace is connected to the Floo Network, but as it is extremely public except in the dead of night, Gryffindors usually use owls to communicate with their families instead.

Hufflepuff Common Room
Accessed through a still life painting found near the kitchens; to reach it, you enter a door to the right of the main staircase in the Entrance Hall and down a staircase there. Although it is therefore at dungeon level, it is "as dissimilar as possible" from the Potions classroom.
